By 1914, Greer had two railroad lines crossing through town, leading the way for the textile mills that would become essential to the city’s early development. In 1998, the organization Partnership for Tomorrow set out to reverse the decline of Greer Station, which is now a thriving downtown area for people to eat, shop and work.
